As of 25th March 2020, the latest Government restrictions enforce everyone to stay at home except for essential travel. Whilst this includes attending medical and podiatry appointments, we would urge you to weigh up the potential benefits of receiving treatment, versus contracting COVID 19 and the impact that this may have on you, your loved ones and the wider public.

Although current government legislation allows for Podiatry practices to remain open, in order to protect our patients we have taken the decision to only offer a limited case by case service for those most in need.

We recognise that a small population of our patients may be at risk of declining mobility or at risk of infection if general foot care is not provided. In view of this, we are willing to provide a limited clinic service to those who need an urgent appointment for any feet at risk of infections/ingrowing toenails, or patients whose conditions may significantly impact upon their mobility if not treated etc. This would take place at our clinics based at Wetherby Osteopaths, The Wharfdale Clinic Guisley, or Highthorn Physiotherapy in York.  Please phone Bob on 07786220141 or Lee on 07932080124 to discuss/ book an appointment. Patients would need to be screened and need determined via phone assessment.
We have chosen these clinics as the premises provide the best facilities to meet all current social distancing recommendations. We will, of course, be meeting the high standards of infection control required during the COVID 19 pandemic.

MSK Services
In our efforts to limit unnecessary face to face contact, we have temporarily suspended all planned musculoskeletal (MSK) services across our clinics for the next few weeks. If you have an urgent musculoskeletal need, then we may be able to offer online, telephone or skype advice. Please follow the link through our website to contact us. https://podiatryclinicsyorkshire.co.uk/contact-us/ . We will check e-mails daily and schedule telephone appointments as required. We will endeavour to treat any frontline staff during this period where possible.

Just to be clear, The Government advises that the following AT RISK GROUPS should not be leaving the house;
70+, anyone who gets a flu jab, asthmatics, COPD, bronchitis or cystic fibrosis sufferers, if you suffer from heart failure, chronic kidney, liver or neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, MS, cerebral palsy, diabetes. problems with spleen, a weakened immune system, under chemotherapy or long-term steroids, pregnant, BMI of over 40.
May we wish you and your families well during these troubling times. We will aim to update when normal sevices resume

Kind Regards from the Podiatry Team
