Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a GP referral to book a rehab appointment?

No. You can book directly with us for rehab treatment at any of our clinics. A GP referral is not required.

What injuries does rehabilitation help with?

Lower-limb fractures, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, post-surgical recovery, runner’s injuries, persistent shin or calf problems, and general lower-limb deconditioning. The service is built around progressive loading and supervised programme work.

What happens during a rehab appointment?

An initial assessment includes movement and strength testing, baseline measurements, and the start of a structured programme. Follow-ups focus on supervised exercise, programme progression and review against agreed milestones.

Is rehab treatment painful?

Rehab exercises can be challenging because progressive loading is the point — but your rehab clinician will work within your tolerance, explain each stage, and adjust load if anything flares up. The goal is to rebuild capacity comfortably and safely.

How much does rehabilitation cost?

Rehabilitation appointment fees are listed on the fees page alongside our MSK and sports podiatry pricing. Initial assessments and follow-up sessions are charged separately. Please contact us before booking if you would like to confirm current pricing or any package options.

How long is each rehabilitation session?

Initial assessments are typically up to 60 minutes; follow-up sessions are 30–45 minutes depending on the programme stage. Our rehab team will confirm at the time of booking and as the programme progresses.
