Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how appointments, fees and payments work at Podiatry Clinics, and the basis on which you may use this website. Please read them before booking. If you require any further information on fees, please contact a member of our reception staff.
1. Who we are
Podiatry Clinics is operated by Podiatry Properties (Yorkshire) Ltd in conjunction with Podiatry Clinics (Yorkshire) Ltd (together “we”, “us”, “our”). We are a private podiatry practice operating clinics in Leeds, York, Wetherby and Wharfedale. All of our podiatrists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
You can contact us on 0330 229 2619 or at info@podiatryclinicsyorkshire.co.uk.
2. Appointments and booking
You can book directly with us. No GP referral is required for any of our services. Appointments can be arranged by telephone, through the enquiry form on this website, or through online booking where that is available for the service concerned.
Making an enquiry through this website is a request for an appointment and does not by itself confirm a booking. An appointment is confirmed once we have contacted you, or once you have received a confirmation for a booking made online.
If you are not sure which appointment type you need, please contact us before booking and we will help you choose the most appropriate appointment.
3. Fees and payment
Our current fees are published on our Fees page. Payment is due at the time of your appointment unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing.
Most appointment fees include both the consultation and any treatment carried out in clinic during that session. Where a treatment, device or specialist procedure is charged separately, this is listed on the Fees page and will always be discussed with you before it is carried out.
Laboratory-manufactured orthoses and certain specialist procedures are charged separately. Where a device is made to order for you, the cost of that device becomes payable once manufacture has been instructed.
We may change our fees from time to time. The fee that applies to your appointment is the fee in force on the date of that appointment, and we will tell you the cost before treatment begins.
4. Cancelling or rearranging an appointment
We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, so that the time can be offered to another patient. Please contact your clinic directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Specific cancellation terms are confirmed with you at the time of booking. Where a cancellation charge applies to your appointment type, we will make that clear to you before your appointment is confirmed.
If we need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we will contact you as soon as we are able to and offer you an alternative appointment. If you have already paid and we cannot offer you a suitable alternative, we will refund you in full.
5. Clinical care and consent
Before treatment begins we will assess you, explain what we have found and discuss the options available. Treatment is only carried out with your consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
The number of appointments needed depends on your condition and the treatment required. Some patients need a single appointment; others benefit from a short course of treatment over several visits. We will explain what to expect after your initial assessment.
We cannot guarantee a particular clinical outcome. We will provide our services with the reasonable care and skill expected of a registered podiatrist.
Please tell us about any relevant medical conditions, medication or allergies before treatment, and keep us informed if these change.
6. Health insurance
Many private health insurance policies cover podiatry treatment. Please check your policy directly with your insurer before your appointment. We can provide receipts and supporting documentation where needed. Unless we have agreed otherwise, you remain responsible for paying our fees, including any amount your insurer declines to cover.
7. Your personal data
We handle personal data, including clinical records, in the way described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it alongside these terms.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any part of your care or with our service, please tell us. Contact us on 0330 229 2619 or at info@podiatryclinicsyorkshire.co.uk and we will look into it. Complaints about how we handle your personal data are dealt with under our Privacy Policy.
