The 19th Staffordshire Conference on Clinical Biomechanics was once again an on-line affair this year and Bob got to chair one of the sessions entitled ‘Clinical Outcomes based on Biomechanics’

, tellingFeaturing the latest biomechanics research in the world of Diabetes, this session looked at how smart insoles are helping to reduce the chance of foot ulceration in diabetic neuropathy (they sense if an area is being over-loaded and send a message to your watch, telling you to move) Prediction of plantar pressure based on Shore hardness and range of motion in people with diabetes and diabetic peripheral neuropathy and how Podiatrists in Malta are using Digital Foot Technology in Ulcer Prevention and Re-ulceration.

There will be a full write up soon and hopefully we can all meet up for the 20th consecutive conference next year
