With Lee supporting Newcastle and Simon Man Utd – one of them was going to be celebrating and the other commiserating this weekend. Lee took his son Sam down to the Wembley in the hope of Silverware for the first time in 50-odd years – not the result they wanted but they still had a great weekend
Simon was visiting his son Joe in Thailand and watched the match in a lively Irish bar (naturally) on Phu Kwok island. It was well into Sunday morning there before the game finished (and I’m guessing well after that, that they got back to the hotel).
