A permanent cure for in growing toenails.
A toenail that is ingrowing can be extremely painful. Often it is a temporary situation caused by a tight shoe or incorrect cutting of the nails which we can put right with a Chiropody appointment (available at all our clinics).
Sometimes it is a bigger problem requiring a permanent solution. We offer a nail operation service that can remove the offending side(s) of nail, or as in the case below, the whole nail. The cells that produce nail (the half-moon at the bottom of your nail) are killed off with a chemical (phenol). This means they are unable to produce nail again, so once it has healed……problem solved!
